Carpenter — Luxury Van Conversions

Build show-quality interiors for Mercedes V-Class and Sprinter luxury conversions — bespoke cabinetry, panelling and finish work you'd be proud to sign.

We're building luxury conversions on Mercedes V-Class and Sprinter platforms — think private-jet interiors on wheels: bespoke cabinetry, wrapped panelling, seating surrounds, flooring and lighting details where the gap lines matter and every edge gets looked at up close.

We need a carpenter whose finish work belongs in that world. You'll be templating and building units that fit curved van walls with barely a straight line in them, choosing materials that are light enough for the road and tough enough for daily use, and working alongside trimmers, electricians and mechanics to bring a whole interior together.

This is bench-and-vehicle work, not site work. If you've fitted out campers, boats, shopfits or high-end furniture and you obsess over the last millimetre, you'll fit right in.

What you'll do

  • Template, build and fit bespoke cabinetry and panelling into V-Class and Sprinter interiors
  • Scribe units to curved walls and uneven floors with tight, even gap lines
  • Choose and work lightweight materials (poplar ply, laminates, veneers) that survive life on the road
  • Build for real-world use — hinges, catches, drawers and fixings that don't rattle at 70mph
  • Coordinate with electricians and trimmers so wiring, lighting and upholstery land where they should
  • Take a build from drawings/photos to a finished interior with minimal supervision
  • Keep the conversion bay clean, organised and safe

What we're looking for

  • Time-served carpenter/joiner or cabinet maker with genuine finish-quality experience
  • Vehicle, marine or campervan fit-out experience is a big advantage
  • Comfortable templating and scribing to curved, out-of-square surfaces
  • Understands weight matters in a vehicle — builds light without building flimsy
  • Own hand and power tools
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Takes pride in the invisible details as much as the visible ones
